SK Cement

Established in 2015, South Kurdistan Cement Company Ltd. (SK Cement) is advancing Iraq’s industrial development through the construction of a new greenfield cement plant in Bazian, Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. The company is focused on producing high-quality cement that meets market requirements and supports the growth of Iraq’s construction and infrastructure sectors.

The project includes two production lines; each line is designed with a clinker capacity of 6,000 tonnes per day. The plant is intended to supply infrastructure projects, residential developments, and individual homebuilders across Iraq, while also supporting future export opportunities in regional markets.

In April 2026, SK Cement signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction Co., Ltd. for the development of the plant. Construction is currently underway.
